Maximum Order Qty for a PO release

Good Morning,

Our vendor can only process certain lot sizes for our purchase order releases. We use minimum order quantity to ensure we get at least the lot size. However, we cannot go over the minimum order quantity, and if need to, must make another po release.
I have tried multiple order quantity which ensures the release qty is rounded up to multiple order quantity.
For example, I need 23, I have mul ord qty = 10 and min ord qty = 10, I get PO suggestion for 30. If i “buy” it from the po suggestion i get one PO / one release for 30.

Anyone have any ideas?

thanks!
Nancy

Nancy, It seems like the logic works. The multiple rounded up 23 to 30 for your PO rel, and min isn’t in play, since you’re above the min of 10. What quantity were you expecting for your PO?

Does the vendor have a max lot size of 10? So you want Epicor to kick out 3 releases of 10 ea?

Hi Andris,

Yes, the vendor has a max lot size = min lot size = 10.
So, we’re looking for ways to get 3 releases of 10 made for Purchase automagically.

Thanks!
Nancy

You need a Max Order Qty. field!

There is a field in the Sites tab for Urgent Planning called Mul Order Qty. I have not used this but it might do the trick for you.

Hi Rick,
Yes, I’ve tested the Mul Order Qty for it. I get rounded up PO suggestions, say where my PO sugg should be 23, I get 30, to suffice the Mul Order Qty =10 and to suffice the min order qty = 10.
What I really need is a max order qty type of mechanism… 3 releases of 10.

Thanks,
