We have entered an order and turned it into a Job but when I go to issue the material the job is not there. What step am I missing?
JOB exists…
Is ithe job ENGINEERED, Firm, Released… and then scheduled?
Did you get the Details for the BOM and then release the job?

I have tried that and the Job still did not show up when I went to issue the material to that Job.
Yes, I entered all the details for the Parent part (sub-assemblies, etc). The job appears in Job Entry but no where else. I was looking around to see if there is something wrong with the parent number or I missed a step when entering the BOM. I have not been successful finding any errors.
Is there a demand link on the Job? Without a demand link and quantity the
system does not know how much material is needed
Check also whether you have (in E10) a quantity per parent on the BOM
