There is a confirmed bug in WindowsXP that it will drop mapped drives.
Sorry, I couldnt find the article on Microsoft.com. We had to create
desktop shortcuts for all of our XP users so that if the drive is not mapped
or the mapping is lost they can run the login.bat file manually without
loging out and back in. It gave us fits for some time.

Subject: [Vantage] Mapping a drive
This may sound a little weird, but I have 4 PC's (running Windows XP), that
will not retain the mapped dive I have to the shared folder Epicor. I check
the re-connect at log-in option. All other drives stay mapped. My question
is can I set this drive mapping in a log-in script so that I don't have to
do it manually every day?
Appreciate your feedback
