Managing multilevel WIP inventory

We are looking for suggestions for managing our multilevel jobs. For
instance component A gets done before Component B. A & B make finished
part C. What are some suggestions for physical storage of component A
until B is done?



Most logical is to have a WIP shelf for multilevel assemblies. Do you
keep this with the stockroom / inspection /area to be assembled? If
this is the case how are your WIP shelves organized?
