Maintaining a MOM through a Part Revision

In response to 2) That's the only way to do in Vantage. I'm not sure
what else to tell you. :-)

Vantage is intended to support multiple manufacturing scenarios, so it
is fairly flexible in this regard, and you can get new revision details
from a variety of sources, depending on your needs (quotes, another
revision, etc.) At some point you just need to make sure people are
properly trained on how to perform a given task and give them
checklists, etc. to ensure things are done correctly and consistently.

Thanks for the responses but I am still looking for a solution.
1) In response to cooner_55421: We have revision control on a
subcontracted operation which occurs after we have materials and
processes already completed internally. This subcontracted operation
periodically changes for a variety of reasons but they typically don't
affect the materials or processes from before the subcontract operation.

2) In response to Brian W. Spolarich: The issues isn't how hard it is,
or isn't to do, within the engineering workbench. It is the fact that
it still needs to be done and someone needs to spend the time
remembering to do it and then doing it. We would like to be able to
automatically bring the methods to the new revision and have our
resources allocated elsewhere. We have also had issues when bringing
forward a MOM was missed and then materials didn't get ordered properly
and planning was missed.

Using Vantage 8.03.406

Our issue is that when we revise a part (i.e. add and activate a new revision while deactivating the old revision in Vantage) that the MOM which existed for the old revision is not automatically brought forward for the new revision. Is there a way to bring the MOM forward to the new revision without having to go all the way through the engineering workbench?
Its not hard in EWB. Create a new EWB group, create a new revision
for an existing part, and get the details from an existing revision
("method"). Doesn't take much time. Actions->Revision->Get
Details->Get from Methods...
