Lot Tracking and Serial Number Tracking

We’re a DT cloud customer and currently do extensive serial number tracking. We’re not doing any Lot Tracking at the moment. My question to the group is if anyone out there is using Lot Tracking and Serial Tracking?

As I review the SNTRAN table, I don’t see any fields linked to Lots. I’m curious if anyone else is putting the two together. One our goals is to enter a lot number and know all the serial numbers in that lot. Is this something core to Epicor or does this need to be customized? Is there any alternative in Epicor?

Thanks in advance for any and all feedback.

There’s a LotNum field in SNTran and SerialNo tables. I’m not sure it’s surfaced on the form (it isn’t in classic, at least), but a BAQ on the table should show it.

There’s also the PartTranSNTran table (intermediate table between SNTran and PartTran) which can be linked to PartTran and has the lot field.

And yes, we use lots (for just about everything) and SN’s (when required by customer, but we might be rolling it out to track internal items more closely).

Thanks @jtownsend, I looked back over the table fields, and I do see the Lot Number fields. Thanks for the clarity.

@jtownsend have you done anything around tracking a Lot Number and listing Serial Numbers contained in the Lot? I’m not seeing anything relative to Serial Numbers in the Lot Tracker.

There is the serial# page in job tracker, which in theory should have your lots and SN’s if you’re following a sane lot methodology. Otherwise, no, there is a screen that I’m aware of where you input lot and get associated SN’s back. You’d have to build a dashboard or custom grid on a canned form.

@jtownsend thanks for your help. I was glad to see the transactions appear to be there. That certainly helps with trackers/dashboards and reporting.

Thanks again! As always, this is great resource place with great people!
