Location of Favorites shortcuts

Try this... log the client out of Vantage. Go to this folder on the
PC... C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Epicor\Vantage clear out anything within the Vantage folder. Log
them back into Vantage and see if they can see the customization.

We have tried that, but they still do not get the customization. They
don't see the customization even when running the program directly from
the Main Menu. There is no special security tied to the program, so it
is odd, because all other users see the customization. We're going bald
trying to figure this one out.

Ed

Ed,

i think if you just remove the shortcut and place it again on your
favorites that will make the customization work on that menu again. You
just need to inform the user to do this when you update a custimization.

Does anyone know where to find the individual user's Favorites settings? We are having issues with user's who have programs accessed through Favorites not picking up new customizations.

We had this with 2 users who did not get a customization we published
when all others did. We got it to work for them by giving their user
developer rights, opening the customization in developer mode on their
workstation, closing everything, take away developer rights and it works
for them now.
Not a long term solution for when we edit the customization again but
got us by for now.

Do the afflicted users have personalizations for the program?
Wipe out their personalization and then see if they get the change. When all else fails delete the Epicor folder in \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ (for XP) - customizations get stored there so they dont have to be downloaded from server each time

Thanks - that took care of the problem on one of the users. I'll try deleting the profile Epicor folder on the other. What a relief!
