Since I’m from that era of the internet, I know exactly what the “****** singularity” represents (not gonna even broach that here besides this sentence), so that is both one of the most hilarious, and horrifying things I have ever heard.
I was wondering when people were going to start doing stuff like this, haven’t paid attention enough to know people already were.
I’m not super scared, yet, but the future is gonna be wild.

Upon further review, I’m even less worried as I’ve discovered that this is obviously fake news. I have discovered through some clever sleuthing that at least part of this hoax is being run by none other than our own @Mark_Wonsil .
I found this in the logs, this is damning evidence.

While the article tries to downplay the crypto angle, there’s no doubt that this agent would not have been successful without it, IMHO.
The FBI has even got into the game by creating a crypto currency and just mopping up criminals with it.

I don’t think so. The crime was the pump and dump scheme. The Feds just set up the market in Ethereum, but a lot of financial applications use Ethereum. What the Feds were after are those who mispresent the investing claims and that was all on the actors in this case.
