If you report on LaborDtl and subtotal at JobNum-AssemblySeq-OprSeq and sum
up LaborDtl.LaborHrs, you should get the same number as
JobOper.ActProdHours.

If you do the same but break at JobNum-AssemblySeq you should get the same
number as JobAsmbl.TLAProdHrs.

Breaking on Work Center won't produce consistent results, since the same WC
can be used at multiple places in the job and assembly. Also, during labor
entry you can override the work center specified on the job operation and
enter a different one (eg - machine was broken down or overloaded, so you
used an alternate.)

If you'd like, I have a report that compares job totals with the sum of the
details and lists discrepancies. the labor and burden came up
clean. Material and subcontract were a mess, however!

All,

I noticed that Job tracker uses the field JobOper.ActProdHours to summarize
the labor hours, whereas most of the reports I inherited get their totals
from LaborDtl.WCCode, which categorizes the hours into Work Centers. The
problem is that the fields do not always agree. Could anyone tell me where
differences are created? We don't use rework or set up functions, just
straight clocked hours...

TIA,

Paul
The JobOper.ActProdHours, I believe, total all Burden hours on the job,
perhaps you are totaling Labor hours and no burden hours in your other
reports?

Thanks to Wayne and Sarah....

I would love to see the report you mentioned Wayne. But I must add that I
spoke too soon when posing my question. I was looking at the output of a
job in one report and comparing it to a different job on screen in Vantage.
Figures that the numbers wouldn't match.... In my defense, it is late, and
I have been celebrating my birthday for the last two days....
