In my current setting, our job labor cost is from employee,
how can I make it decided by role code or resource group? Thanks in advanced.
We leave the Labor Rate on the Employee set to zero. Then, on the Resource Group, under Costing Burden Rates, we put our Labor Rate. Also, on the Resource, we have Use Resource Group Values checked. We do not put the Labor rate under Costing Labor Rate. If you want to use Labor Rate, I recommend testing it. From what I recall, during testing and implementation, we found that it only worked properly for us if we put it on Costing Burden Rates. We only have Labor, not both Burden and Labor, so it works for okay us.

For some reason, I am not able to select it.
Hi! We do not have Advanced Labor Rates checked. It is greyed out for me as well. According to the Field Help, it seems to be related to the Service module, which we do not have.
