Labor Collection

No, our jobs are of very short duration comparatively, so the only
metric I need to capture is total job time. Additionally we don't use
the payroll module.

Thanks,

Mark Smith

Production Mgmt
Job Mgmt
Job Cost adjustment
Labor Adjustment........you can enter hours only here.

Are you using the payroll module too? This won't get the info from Data
Collection to Payroll, but will update production detail reports, etc.

Good Morning:

We are beginnning to use labor collection here and are looking for a
fast and dirty way to only enter total hours for jobs. Can anyone
using Labor Collection tell me if it is possible to bypass entering
start and end time, etc?

Thanks,

Mark Smith

We are looking at using Data Collection for labor transactions and have been
working on setting up the Data Collection Configuration. Several questions
have come up.

How are companies that are using data collection handling log ins? I assume
that when an employee comes to work in that they would clock in, then at the
start of shift they clock into their assigned job. If this is the case
isn't there a bottleneck at the PC's as everyone is trying to clock into
their respective jobs? How is this being handled?

Are most companies recording the time between jobs as idle time (ex. clock
out at 9:00 log in at 9:05)?

If you set a clock out late allowance time. Does that have any effect on
how OverTime is recorded?

I would appreciate any insight on Data Collection.

Thanks!

Paul,
If you wanted to call me, I could fill you in on our progressions through
the Data Collection world. We have been using it since Jan of 1999. We
have been processing payroll through Vantage since Jan of 2000.

If you use Labor Entry you can enter in just Labor and Burden hours with
start and stop times.
