Labels - changing

Thanks for all the responses. I was thinking that there was a way to change
the labels globally, instead of on each report. I have several custom
reports that will need to be changed, so I was looking for the easy way out.
I always save my custom reports with a different name as well..I never
change the original. Don't believe that I have ever had a problem when
upgrade, since they are saved as different names.

When I customize forms and reports I always save them as "CST_" in front
of the original name. So far I haven't had any reports or forms
overwritten, but a two times the system defaulted to base so I had to go
into menu maintenance and re-point to the customizations.

Does anyone know if I can change a label in Vantage? I want to change

Cindy... if it is a Crystal form you should be able to modify it. Just
remember if you apply patches you will need to save a copy of the
modified form first as patches sometimes over write all of your reports.

I have had patches that only overwrote some reports and not all, but
generally they overwrite the ones I use so I try to remember to make a
copy before I apply a patch.

This is my answer. I run a scheduled task on my Vantage server that
copies the whole UD folder into my backup folder. The my scheduled task
for Vantage backup backs both up. Patch Protection !!!

I have not had any of our reports get overwritten when applying a new patch. If we modify a report we change the report name and set this as the new default and leave the stock report as is.
