That's the version they should release to fix all the "known" issues instead
of working on version 8.0

I've asked Epicor for a list of known bugs before and they will not give
them up. Just come on up to 6.2 and experience a bug free Vantage....I

Just to vent...

Over the weekend, we moved to the 6.1 patch 521 from patch 514. We were
told by support that this patch might fix a problem we had. We were
also under the understanding that there would be no ill effects of
installing it.

Now, I print out my financials (our Income Statement setup is month &
year to date w/ % of Sales) and now all of my percentage of sales
calculations are "backwards" (i.e. all positive percentages have
brackets and negatives do not).

As we called support, we found out that this has been a "known issue"
since patch 519 and they are working to fix it!! Meanwhile, my boss
(the company president) is not happy because he does not want the
financials, as they currently stand, issued to our board. I realize
that I could save them to Excel and reformat, but that's not the point.

This is the second patch in a row that we have installed that we have
been ASSURED by Epicor employees that they would not cause any problems!

Is there/why isn't there a document attached to each patch stating both
the KNOWN FIXES and KNOWN ISSUES that this patch solves/creates??

Thanks - my IT manager and I found these documents -- but as others have
mentioned, it does not inform you of "known issues". It's sort of like
a mouse trap -- they lure you in with cheese (the fix for your problem),
only to allow you to get caught in a trap (a/k/a a "known issue")!!
