I can’t find it now, but I saw a video / documentary where they say the original animation for this was born out of a bug / mistake.

Using the browser has made it a lot easier - but still keeping track of those usernames and passwords!
And no need to have an update!

I use IdP wherever possible - much better to have it controlled via my single login, which is linked to M365 as well.

@markdamen have you been able to have one IdP linked to multiple customers?

I have created multiple alias emails to manage the 50+ customers I am working with.

Yes - my one corporate email address is registered with our company IdP Tenant. So we have our users within our tenant as their primary. Our tenant is setup with External Provider to M365 so we can use that as a login option as well, by clicking IdP and then on the Azure button at the bottom.

Each time you (or a customer) creates an Epicor User in User Account Maintenance and enters your corporate email address in the External Identity field it will add you as a guest to their IdP tenant and you’ll get an email asking if you want to accept the invitation.

Benefits are that the customer can easily turn off your access if they wish, and if you have somebody leave you can disable their access in a single place (your IdP tenant).
