Can anybody tell me what this search is for within the Kinetic home page?
I was trying to find it documented somewhere and haven’t had any luck. Won’t display menu items, won’t display parts, sales orders, etc (I have enterprise search setup and working on the classic).

Its for missing socks. I guess it can’t find them either.
I have no idea what its for but it annoys me because I try to use for menu searching all the time by mistake.
It’s for Enterprise Search but unlike everything else in Epicor it requires that you hit ENTER instead of TAB.

@jcooke I’ve certainly hit enter. See comparison below. It will tell me no results found. Is anything additional required to have it work in kinetic?
I am far from an Expert on such things but I have noticed that I don’t get as many results in Kinetic as I do shell.
Thanks for clarifying that it is enterprise search. I’ll poke around in the options again and see if I can get it to work.
I know there are issues in 10.2.600 at least that keep it from returning any results in kinetic home page. I believe that it’s working people using windows authentication for epicor login.
I logged a ticket and it’s meant to be fixed in version 11 (kinetic?)
Oh that might be it, I’m using 10.2.700 in that example but not with windows authentication. Thanks!
