Kinetic Browser Based MES - Testing

Anyone using browser MES?
Using Cloud - and the Smart Client is out to lunch sometimes…

Just testing out MES 2022.1.8 - seems to be working.
Will look to set up on shop floor for a small group to test.

An issue that had been reported with the browser MES is that it consumed a desktop license and not an MES license… don’t know if that has been fixed or not.

I have an open Problem that they are working on related to the Work Queue. I’m hoping it will be fixed in the next major release.

Found that the job tracker doesn’t load fast enough.
note how either the details or activity is available, but not both.
After about 2 minutes - the tracker runs okay.

@LarsonSolutions & @jkane - What versions are you on? We’re about to start testing web MES and I’m trying to see if it’s even worth starting :slight_smile: down that path.

We are on 2022.1.8 - Cloud SaaS…
Just upgraded this past weekend and it was a train wreck.
We finally are back to normal operations after Epicor ran some additional fixes on their end.
2021.2 MES did not work well.

We are not live yet and testing the current release

We are on 2021.2.8 SaaS Cloud, and MES is working Fine in our testing thus far.
We Go-Live 8/14 from E9. Lots to do, but getting there, lol

Has anyone on 2022.1. or later getting an unresponsive epicor? Like the smart client won’t exit or close or anything? It’s not spinning saying unresponsive, you just can’t do anything and you have to kill it from the task manager.

We have seen this and the fix that seems to work is to Purge Personalizations. There is a new utility to do this by the same name. You can select by person but we just kill them all after each test upgrade.

I guess old habits don’t die. Personalization still causing issues. I should have thought of that.

The thing is she isn’t getting it on the same screen every time.
