Just putting this out there - MRP, Make to stock, PO Suggestions by physical location?

We are going live in Jan and I have 100% faith Epicor will get the purchased parts to us but Epicor, as its designed and should be the case, looks to improve efficiencies in ordering. Because of that the POs raised by Epicor are reducing the visibility on where to route the parts physically within the plant.

e.g. If we have demand for a qty of 3 that is captured by the PO is there a way to have the PO broken up so that 2 go to area A and 1 to area B.

Seperate POs would be ideal but even seperate lines would work.

We are not looking to use PO Releases as that was deemed by the business to be too complex. Happy to take bullet points and I will track down/investigate. Just looking for starting points in the huge number of options Epicor has.

Just curious, if your purchased materials set as Non-Stock in the part masters?
If so, I’d expect that PO suggestions should automatically point directly to each of the separate demand “areas”?

Yes, I’ve seen more than a few buyers that don’t care for releases but… Epicor is built so that every PO Line will still have at least one release you end up dealing with.
