I think you're on to something. Why can't we do that with Vendor and
Customer Contacts? Have you tried to make changes in those field lately?
These should have the ability to become inactive, as people leave and
are replaced. We know this happens a lot, and names cannot be deleted if
they've been used in a record.
I know we shouldn't camp on in this manner, but you have my interest.
