directly
from Vantage. By default they all start with ; to comment them out.
Remove
the ; and use that .vtg to start Vantage and see if that fixes the error

I am able to create an ODBC report in crystal on a lan client.
But when I place the report into Vantage I get errors (599)

It did not. I have made similar complaints, with similar results. Once
I
gave up on Epicor making the change and learned to link through ODBC
back to
the database and grab the fields that I wanted, life was good. Now I
don't
bother complaining, I just create the subreport and link back to ODBC.
Now,
in the time it would take to make the complaint, I have the new report
ready
to use with my modifications.
There have been several threads on this group about how to accomplish
this,
but if needed I am sure we can run though it again, just let us know.

You may be out of luck on this as the canned "hybrid" Crystal Reports in
Vantage only dump the fields that it is programmed to do. This issue
has been a real bee in my bonnet and I have already made a few complains
on deaf ears at Epicor. Supposedly they were going make a change to
dump all the data from the Progress database to the temp DB tables so
this issue can be avoided but I do not know if this ever happened.
