HI quick question for the hive mind, is it possible to add some sort of check to make sure that previous part of the job has been ticked off and if its not been done then don’t let them move on until the previous opr is ticked off.
I’m thinking its a pre-processing options to maybe check to see if the opr previous has been completed and if not publish a warning letting the user know.
Any pointers would be great.
There is a Shop Warning you can turn on, but that only puts up a warning that anyone can ignore and click through.
You CAN create a STOP error, and your thought process is on the right track.
BUT, be sure you really WANT to do it. And make sure there’s some kind of override that only certain “blessed” people can use, because there will ALWAYS be a need to do it the old way at 2am on a holiday weekend.
The more challenging part is to figure out what the “previous” operation is. Do you ALWAYS use the Epicor default op sequence numbers (10, 20, 30, etc), or do you have other sequences?
Thank you for the pointer and yes the op sequence starts off like that but then there is 10,20,30,40,43,50,60,63,70 and so on i have thought that this will be the hardest bit but glad im on the right track.
I always use the minimum Opr Seq number for the ops that have not been marked complete. Then it doesn’t care if there is a 10, 12, 16, 20, 25 or whatever.
