Earned Hours
Earned hours are defined as the number of hours it should have taken to
produce the job quantities reported, based on the entered estimates.
Earned Hours are used in various plant performance measurements, such as
efficiency <javascript:kadovTextPopup(this)> and overage
<javascript:kadovTextPopup(this)> .
Efficiency
A measurement used to compare estimated to actual labor hours.
In general, the calculations for Earned Hours for a labor detail record
are as follows:
For Production:
If the Run quantity > 0: EarnedHrs = EstProdHours / RunQty x LaborQty
If the Production Standard is fixed hours: EarnedHrs <= EstSetHours -
ActSetHours + SetReworkHours - Burden Hours for this labor detail record
If the operation quantity = 1: EarnedHrs = Operation Hrs Remaining
(EstProdHours - ActProdHours) or Hours Worked (BurdenHrs), whichever is
less
For Setup:
Setup Not Complete: EarnedHrs = EstSetHours x SetupPctComplete or
ActSetupHours, whichever is less
Setup Complete: EarnedHrs = EstSetHours - ActSetHours + SetReworkHours -
Burden Hours for this labor detail record
Efficiency %
A measurement used to compare estimated to actual labor hours. This
measurement appears throughout the system. The actual calculation may
vary slightly, depending on where it appears. In general, it is:
Earned hours <javascript:kadovTextPopup(this)> /actual hours * 100
Earned Hours
The number of hours it should have taken to produce the job quantities
reported, based on the estimates you enter.

Subject: [Vantage] Job Tracker - Labor Transactions
Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
Quickie: In Job Tracker --> Job Details --> Labor Transactions there
are two columns named "Efficiency %" and "Earned Hours".
Does anyone have a clue what calculates this?
TIA.
