Job Entry Access to Master File Maint

Job Entry, Operations Master file, Work Center Master file each have their
own vantage security ID to yes you can secure them out individually. Then
you can use groups or add users to the Menu Security to allow access.

Subject: [Vantage] Job Entry Access to Master File Maint

It was just brought to my attention that in job entry people can get into
full blown maintenance for operations and work centers by double clicking on
the selection from the drop down list. We need to have some shop people
allowed in to job entry to add repair operations. Mainly for tool room
people to add a die repair operation to clock labor to when the press people
bring them a broken tool. Now we are starting to get accidental (we
presume) changes to operations. If they accidentally double click their
selection on the drop down list and not notice they've goen into operation
maintenance BAM! the info is gone and they have no clue what it should be.
We've now asked them to watch out for this and to click cancel to un-do
changes but that might not be good enough.

Is there anyway to lock out access to maintenance screens via this route?

Thanks,
