Job costing question

Could anyone give me a thorough explanation on how job quantities are used in calculating total job cost?   And specifically, how Non Conformance quantities affect it as well. 

 

For example,

 

Our original job quantity on an operation was for 10 parts, but because we had 2 or 3 in Non Conformance/DMR we ended up having to create 2 or 3 more.  Would the costs be based on the original “10” that we setup for or would it take into consideration the “extra” parts we had to create??
