Mike,
I agree with you but heres the thing...You have existing issues with your
current version and no one-offs are provided all you hear is load the newly
release service patch and your troubles will be over...So to stop your users
from screaming you do some testing to make sure all reported issues are fixed
and look for other issues that maybe caused and you decide to load the fix. Now
your users are happy but hold up, you have introduced a couple more issues that
you missed because lets face it testing in a controlled environment plus unless
you have all the resouces at your hand testing the patch holistically and
finding all the bugs may not be possible. So the cycle begins again... I am
hoping that with this thread we can capture some of the issues via testing and
post so that we the users can get an idea of what is going on...granted we will
not catch all issues..

That is the way they have always done things. They do not give you any heads up
about the patches until something goes wrong.
Then most likely it is too late to do anything about it. Because it always shows
up during business hours.
Then when you call support they act like it is no secret that there is a problem
with the patch.
I like it when they tell you that you have to reboot the server during business
hours in order to correct the issues with the software.
One this I have learned is not to be too hasty on installing patches. You may
end up with more problems than you had before the patch or UPGRADES.
My opinion............

Group.... I post this initial email with the hope that users testing E9.05.601
patch will alert all users of any issues they encountered and responses if any
from Epicor. This will allow us to know what's happening, something Epicor
seems not to do until we call support...
Any thoughts....
