I’m being asked to post this on behalf of the financial department, I will relay any suggestions to them. I will be blunt, I know nothing about this process or how it’s done, I’m only the messenger. I figured I would ask for assistance here before I asked on Epicor’s support since they will just probably call us idiots and say we need to hire a consultant. Please let me know if more info than the below is needed.
Below are a couple screen shots of the issue. These are system generated Periodic Postings that occurred when I ran Capture WIP. All of the GL accounts appear valid but the journal is out of balance. I have not been able to figure out how to correct this entry.
You’re looking for the entry that is NOT there. That’s the needle in the haystack.
A transaction went through the entire hierarchy and found no account to post to.
One thing you can do is set EVERY blank account on the Company’s Inventory Cos/WIP GL Control to “suspense” (usually all 9’s, like 9999-99-999). Then do as @jkane said and delete the review and run the IWR report (Inv. WIP Recon) and see what hit suspense and why.
