We are going through a part overhaul and combining part process into a single part number. I know i can do this on jobs and append details more than one time. but when i try and do it on the eng workbench, it grays out the “get details” options. I was able to use excel to make my own upload template but before i train my coworkers on how to do that i wanted to exhaust this option first.
So am i doing something wrong or is it not possible to run get details more than one time on a single part?
You can go into the engineering tool in the engineering workbench, and then go to the Part/Rev methods, and enter the part you want to merge… then simply drag over the components that you want to merge in.
Second option… merge the two into a JOB, and turn that job into a TEMPLATE job… then go into he engineering workbench and “get details” from the JOB instead of another bom.
Tim thank you im going to give that shot. havent tried that in E10 before but itll be nice if it works. If all else fails that job template method is easy enough for me so thanks for throwing both of those in here!
