How is inventory affected at shipping? I am being told that when we ship our inventory is reduced, if so, where is that being done at? Note: I was thinking inventory was adjusted through the work process, but I guess since some of our product is stock product then we would have inventory. But if it is custom and we do not stock, inventory would not be adjusted, correct?
It all depends on where you ship it from. If you ship from inventory, it reduces the inventory. If you ship from a job, it takes the output from a job (essentially skipping inventory). Get in test and try some things out and you should be able to see what’s happening in part transaction history.
