Hello everyone,
During the inspection processing, the quantity of the part will disappear from the inventory by the transaction type of “STK-INS”. After that, if the inspection determines that the product is good, the quantity of the part will appear in the inventory by the transaction type of “INS-STK” and “DMR-STK”.
I know this is the default process for Epicor, and it’s a generic process.
But, My company policy say that parts during the inspection processing should also be included in the inventory value.
Can parts during the inspection processing be set to be included in the inventory value? (ex. The moment they go to the inspection, they move to the QC bin, and after the inspection is completed, they move to the normal bin again.)
Or can we see an inventory report including quantities that are undergoing Inspection Processing?
Thanks in advance!
I believe this is more to do with accounting side, which means if you define the GL Controls for STK-INS to stock account will give accounts the desired result. They can create GL Account under Stock COA group with different name like “Stock under Quality”.
I don’t know the accounting side well. Sorry to bother you, but could you be more specific? Which menu should I go into and which setting should I change?
If it’s something you are not familiar with I wouldn’t monkey around moving GL controls and their natural accounts around. That transaction will move the $s somewhere that where is defined in the GL Control. I would have your accountants review that.
