Looking for help with Intermec PB32 Mobile Printer. We purchased these based on a recommended list provided by EpiCenter. We are having formatting issues and not sure if it’s printer/hardware related or software/printer driver related. Epicor Version 10. We are using Print Set 4 to update to the latest firmware 12.6.0 and configure the unit. We are using Seagull Intermec Driver (Honeywell_2019.1) on our Print Server. Our media is 1" x 3.00" Ticket (with Mark). Start Adjust -0.20 Stop Adjust 0.00 “Automatic Start and Stop Adjust” is unchecked. Testing with Windows labels print fine. However when a print job is sent to the printer from Bartender it is misaligned, often feeds extra blank labels and other issues. I am the Hardware Lead on this project and do not work with Epicor software. Any help. advice or direction would be much appreciated! Thank You.
When you have a Bartender specific issue that is not immediately solvable, I would reach out to Seagull Scientific. They are excellent at helping. Hopefully someone here can help too though.
Maybe label in the Bartender template is the wrong size. Just to qualify this I am no Bartender expert, but when I was creating labels that’s what I needed to do. I would try experimenting with the size and borders if you are using any.
Just another suggestion. Start with a printer that is set to defaults as well as the print driver. Just do a test print from Bartender designer. Then go on to check the Epicor label data that is being generated is indeed using the shared printer setup with the Seagull driver, not the shared windows printer. I also recall another thing I came across was to create the shared printer on your bartender server with the seagull drivers. Happy to be corrected on this, this is the way we have it setup and it appears to be working ok here.
The first line of the bt file should look something like.
%BTW% /AF="\labeldataserver\Epicordata\InternalPackingLabel.btw" /D="" /PRN="\printserver\TestLabel" /DBTEXTHEADER=3 /R=3 /P /C=1
%END%
the /PRN information is the part that tells Bartender which printer to use. (apologies if you already know this)
I’m assuming your using Autoprint or a BPM that’s generating the .bt file? You may need to ask your Epicor person to give you the details, as you mentioned you don’t work with Epicor Software.
Most to the information I got about Bartender came from their support site and videos etc, so I have to reiterate @Jason_Woods comments.
Thanks so much. I will work with our Epicor team and give this a try.
Thanks for taking the time. I appreciate it.
Problem resolved. Thanks for the help everyone!
Kevin,
To help future others. Can you outline what the resolution was please.
