Installing Epicor 10 HH module on Intermec CK71 (Windows Embedde

A little tweak of the code can prevent the log file from running, which i recommend - see previous links in this thread.  The running log will fill the memory up on your device, making very hard to even get into the menu to delete it.
I've configured the handheld module on the CK71 a number of times over the years. There is nothing architecturally different from 9 to 10. You still will need terminal server in order to use the HH module. This module is not native as of 10.0....maybe 10.1 this will change.

I have finally gotten a terminal session running and somewhat functional, but I still have one question. When I run a terminal session, the handheld module screen doesn't fill the entire screen, it looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/AqNhYx3.png

Originally, it was a very small window on the screen and I searched this board and found a recommendation to change the .sysconfig file scale settings, which doubled the screen size, but it still doesn't fill the entire screen. Any further ideas?

You can keep tweaking the scale factor until you're satisfied (1.5, 1.6 etc.), or you can customize the form size to your exact screen size.

We're using a version of RDesktopCE/RDPAutologin from Josef here: http://www.hjgode.de/wp/

As long as the HH session is all you're running from the remote terminal, I think you'll find you like it more than the scaled solution from Epicor, as it retains the windows styling and is more visually appealing.  This gets you to the same point as where you are now in terms of application size.

In order to fill the screen you need to customize the HH form size to your device's size. We're running the CK71's as well, and had stretched most of the forms from around the base size of 244, 265 to 240,320 (full screen for our device).  The login screen, as pictured in your post, remains the original size for us, it seems to be a little more difficult to resize as it appears to have a new GUID upon every launch.

Thanks for the tips, that helped a lot! How do you go about customizing the HH Menu screens? With MES, you can just change the shortcut parameter to -MESC to get to the customization screens, but that doesn't seem to work with handheld. I completed the customization through the Epicor Menu (Handheld Menu module found under Production Mgmt > Data Collection > Handheld), but when I applied that customization in Menu Maintenance, it worked when launching the HH menu from the full Epicor app, but not when launching the Handheld module directly.

Thanks for the help,

Jay

Anyone?
Hi,

You don't have to install anything on Intermec.
All what you need is setup RDP connection and connect handheld over RDP to computer or server.
Question is: how many devices do you have ?
In our case we have 4 guns connected to separate box where I have configured RDP server with 4 licenses.

Also,

Epicor should provide you 3rd party piece of software let you maximize E10 handheld client on Intermec scanner.

CK71 has knowing timeout issues. Basically Win Embadded has security option that logout RDP if no activity for 15 minutes. Nothing what you can do in the system. If you want prevent this download small application called "Keep Busy" from intermec website. All what that app is doing is keep few pixels blinking all the time.
Working fine but some log file is building up over time so you have to delete that log every x weeks.

If you want run handheld client and see how looks like modify regular E10 shourcut adding -HH @ the end.

Have fun,

In the full application > Menu Maintenance > create a UD menu under processes and attach your customization.  Then in configuration editor for the handheld user(s) add the process MenuID to the HHCustomMenuID field.
