Install Multiple Epicor Versions On The Same Server

Can multiple Epicor versions be installed on the same server?. In other words, Can the admin console handle both ERP10.2.300 and ERP10.2.400 app servers at the same time?

Absolutely

Thanks for the quick response.

Should we just follow the normal install procedure? Is there any negative impact?

It’s pretty straight forward, unless you’re forced to deal with different versions of the mmc you can follow the instructions as normal. I do recall if there are different versions of the mmc in play you gave to jump back and forth installing and uninstalling the mmc to work with the app version you’re installing at that time. For example at one time I had 10.0.400 and 10.1.500 installed on the same server and the mmc was different. Likely you went see that, but it’ll be in the documentation.

Agreed! I run about 13 instances in my lab with 10.1.400, 10.1.500, 10.2.200, 10.2.300 and 10.2.400 – sometimes you will have to revert back the Admin Console like the 10.2.400 does not play well with the 10.1.500 snap-in, but installing/removing Admin Console Snapins so you can manage older versions is easy. Also you can install multiple Task Agent Services.

In some cases Epicor will play nice and when you Add an AppServer it will ask you which Snap-In version you would like to use.

There is a warning about upgrading the demo database if I recall
