Insite Manifest Upgrading V4.0 to V4.0.1 on E10.1.400.22

We are in the testing phase with Insite Manifest V4.0 and we need to upgrade to V4.0.1 to address a few bugs found during initial testing. I’ve downloaded the new version and read through the upgrade document. I had done most of the initial install myself so I thought this would be fairly straight forward. Doing so in a test vm sandbox, I’m finding the upgrade doc isn’t as complete as I would have hoped. Does anyone have any experience with upgrading? The upgrade document mentions uninstalling Manifest components only when testing. Even though I’m technically testing, I’m acting as if this is production which would make me think I should NOT uninstall anything beforehand. Yes, I do have UPS and FedEx pointing to their test servers, so not sure if that is what document is referring too in regards to testing. I believe I have been successful with the server piece, but the Manifest components (Freight, Integration and Print Service) are giving me grief. So my first question, should I uninstall all of the Manifest components? When trying to install the Manifest components overtop, I can’t even get the installer UI to actually accept the click to check the box for the Print service. It looks like it trying to accept (I see a gray check show up), but it then clears itself. I then resorted to running the executable directly and the Print service exe popped up a dialog saying it couldn’t run given a previous install. The other two happily ran.

Any help, any maybe a shot of vodka, would greatly be appreciated.

I have come to the conclusion that the answer is yes, uninstall the server, print, integration and freight components. The client install is smart enough to recognize the prior install and will ask if you want to upgrade so no need to uninstall it. Looks like the upgrade broke our test FedEx account. The CspCredential in the FedExShipmentRequest_xx.xml is different.
