Inner Exception Error after restore 10.1.600.6

I am getting an inner exception error when trying to open company config after a restore from live to test.

Invalid object name ‘Erp.OrderHed_UD’

Are the UD tables stored out side of the db so that when I copy db from one server to another I would receive this error? If so where do I go to relink? I had partially created some UD fields before I did this restore.

I think I found it.
Regenerate data model and the recycle the app pools. I kind of remember that from Insights but this is the first time restoring after customizing.
