Indirect labor codes

We do not have the payroll module either... Direct Labor goes to the apporpriate accounts when you post capture but indirect is posted to the indirect account as you do journal entries to post your payroll.

Was there a response to this question? I am either having a brain lapse
or some other mild breakdown. We do not have the payroll module and was
instructed that it is not required for MES. Currently, we report our
labor through labor entry in vantage and will be migrating to MES in the
next quarter. I am trying to reconcile our first month and can see the
direct labor being recorded in the general ledger, but I have not been
able to find the indirect labor. When I look at the file detail, it
says the indirect labor has been posted to the GL. I looked at vantage
help and it says the Labor expense code ties the general ledger through
payroll, but there is no place to put a general ledger account. Some
insight would be great!

Subject: [Vantage] indirect labor codes

Can someone clarify for me how the indirect labor entered through the
labor
entry function works if one does not have or use the payroll module? I
am
hoping that it allow the aggregation of all this "indirect time" (ie.
repair/maintenance/cleaning/etc) into a GL account so that such amounts
can
be tracked and processed as OH or maintenance costs? In the
alternative,
can anyone provide a better method through Vantage of tracking such
miscellaneous time that is not attributable to a "job".

Thanks for any help.

Allan,

The question was not answered. I believe that if you don't have the payroll
module, the indirect labor is not tracked but I'm still trying to get an
answer from the group.

Kyle
