We have identified that by including 'backorders' and previously shipped lines (with each pack's tracking number) on each Pack Slip WHEN it is processed that we could reduce the number of phone calls coming into our call center that are usually the following questions:
1. Why didn't I receive everything?
2. Is my order correct?
3. What lines are backordered and when will I receive the other lines?
4. What were the tracking number of the previous shipments and what was shipped then?
By including a few subreports on the Crystal pack slip we think we can save our customers and our valuable time while providing clearer communication to our customers as well as some planning information that our service techs can utilize.
Has anyone done anything like this? Care to share how you did it, BAQ files, Crystal files, data definition files?
We think we can manage doing it, just that it will take a bit of time to work it all out and would rather utilize the community's successes and avoid possible Epicor Consulting costs. I'm sure many can identify with our situation.
Thanks for any help.
