Inactive Parts Blank Title 106986

Sounds like a UD Checkbox at the plant level, and some BPM's where you would
normally select those parts (Order Entry, PO Entry) would be the way to go.

Subject: [Vantage] Inactive Parts

Hi,
We are on 9.05 and have come across a situation which I had thought would be
easy to resolve but cant figure out. We operate multi-plants and often have
shared parts i.e parts which are available in two plants. Now we have a
situation where one of the plants does not use the part anymore and I want
to restrict people selecting those parts. It is a valid option in the second
plant.
I cant make the part inactive or change the description to prefix it with
OBSOLETE etc as it is still active in plant 2. I cant delete these parts
from Plant 1 as there are transactions.
Do I have any neat option other than to put a BPM which will only
retrospectively bring up an error if they select that part?

Regards

Aman
