Hello,
We use the configurator to generate make direct parts which will ship directly from the job. These are large orders so we make ahead and stage the finished parts in our shipping area until the orders are complete. Since they’re not in inventory, we’re having a tough time tracking the finished parts (in packs) in our shipping warehouse. Any suggestions on how we can better manage our FG in the jobs without receiving them into inventory?

That module allows you to track inventory in WIP. If the shipping warehouse has locations, add a packaging operation at the end of each job and have someone put away the finished product in a location.
Yes, I see what you mean. Once it’s packed in a location, is it possible to perform inventory move in WIP?

Just be aware, you can’t move finished goods in WIP once they are at the assembly level… yet.
