How to setup resources/resource groups to split labour across jobs

This is our first post to the platform and I hope your combined knowledge can help.

We have a process where a single operator can run three machines at a time. The machines and operators are specified in their own resource groups. The scheduling resources on the parts have one defined for the machine, selecting using a resource group and capability and one for the operator selecting using a resource group (this resource group has five operators).

I can’t find a way of telling the scheduling process to utilise a single operator across multiple machines.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think you will struggle with this as standard, you have various issues to overcome/ Firstly scheduling the three jobs at the same time, then once you have done that, the employee will need to log onto all three.

The downside of this is, if he spends three hours on the jobs, nine hours will be recorded as a labour cost.

Do they run three jobs at once, or do they just monitor the three machines while they are running.

Are they always the same parts, so in effect it is a manufacturing cell, or can the parts vary.

if its always the same parts, then co-parts will help.

Are the machines the same machines every time?
