How to select an item in built-in EpiCombo using code

I need to populate Sales Category on Order Line Detail tab automatically. If I write OrderDtl.SalesCatID field directly via data view, the Combo does not display correctly. Basically, I want to use code to select a Sales Category automatically. Has anyone done this before? Thanks

Usually you will also need to set the description also.
