Beginner to Epicor, I wish to create a task for an operator to clock in and out of using a certain job number.
i.e. Job 12345 Start the picking note - Stop the picking note, this is then recorded against the job number and the employee (a sort of working day docket). There will be not costs assigned to this just a time record.
Can anyone point me in the right direction.

What do you mean by “a task”? Do you mean like the material request queue which tells them what to do next?

This is a manual task of picking various product for a client under a job number and putting them into boxes for despatch.
We are not putting a cost against this just want the operator to clock on to the picking (task) when he starts it and clock off when he is finished it.
For this to show a record in epicor of how long it has taken the operator to do this and a record of what operator has done the picking for this order.
Hope this has explained what I am trying to achieve.

You could set up an operation called picking, attach a resource with 0 labour and burden rate. In the employee screen for the employees who do the picking, leave the labour rate at 0. When they clock in and out it will record time but no labour or buden dollars will be attached.
