How is everyone handling Molding of CO-parts on Epicor 10

A mold runs a left and right part at the same time. How are you handling creatiing a job/or jobs run and schedule concurrently in the same machine

Hi Jeanne, I am the queen of coparts…lol! Seriously though, we run several coparts.

We create a job that has both parts listed. Our Job Traveler has been modified to show how many of each part. There is a bit of setup that is done in the method through the engineering workbench to ensure the correct quantity of each and the costing breakdown of each.

When recording parts, the operator has to go to the copart tab to log the quantities. Some of the downfalls are that you can’t log scrap for each part number (it’s all lumped together so no breakdown for each part number) and when you are using the costing workbench you need to have a full method for each part (temporarily approve the child part for cost rolling). There are a few improvements that need to be made.

What are your specific questions?

Thanks for contacting me. Our specific question is can it be done because some consultants told this plant no. Sounds like you mastered it. Can you send me an example of your setup for a part and also what you did in the tracker. Lol maybe I can
help u in the further with an area I am an expert on.

Thanks
