How do you USE Quick Searches in the Kinetic UI

I’ve got to be missing something very obvious, but I cannot find the option to use an existing Quick Search in the Kinetic UI. We’re upgrading, and successfully imported an existing Quick Search that I can find and use through the classic UI in 2022.2.11. In the Kinetic UI, I can search in multiple places through either the search magnifying glass button, or right-click, but nothing is offering me access to the Quick Search, I only see options for Basic, Data Tags, and BAQ.

You need to:

  1. Open the form that you want to add the quick search to in Classic mode
  2. Right click and open Quick Search Entry - you will then get a Kinetic Version of Quick Search Entry
  3. Setup the search as you would in Classic mode
  4. When you open the search form in the Kinetic form you will be able to select Quick Search as the search type from the drop-down

Hi Sue! I had to deviate a bit from your instructions, but they did the trick. Thanks for the help!
Documenting lessons learned below:

Just a guess, but it seems like you don’t see the ‘Quick Search’ options in the Kinetic UI until a valid one exists for that form. Even thought I had one imported from v9, there was an error in the required & read-only ‘Context Key (Like)’ field that I was only able to resolve by recreating it.

In my case, I did the fix in the Quick Search Classic UI; I do not have the option for Quick Search Kinetic UI. Fortunately, the UIs seems to function the same for Quick Search.
