We have been live about 9 months and are finding that some of our Part Specific UOM conversion factors are not correct and need to be changed. I have tried to make changes using Part UOM Conversion Maintenance to the factor for a specific part and even with 0 quantity on hand the factor field remains grayed out. Our consultant hasn’t been able to assist and I am unable to find anything related to updating factors in application help.
There is a field on the UOM conversion tab in Part Entry called Override. It is hidden. Make it visible. Clicking in the field and saving it makes the Factor field available for entry. You can try that. In the past this has worked for us with mixed results, meaning it worked in some Epicor versions and not other.
Thanks everyone! For 10.2.500.23 I was able to check the Override box in the Part UOM tab and change the conversion factor. I then updated all open PO lines for the part to get the correct conversion on the PO line.
Hello, I’m having the same issue with the UOM conversion factor. Where do I find the “Override” button? I don’t see it on my screen and notice you mention it is on the UOM tab and hidden. Where is it hidden?
We are on 10.2.500.39. The Part Specific UOM is on the Part/UOM tab. When you are in the specific part, select the UOM conversion code line you want to update and the Override Box appears. If you don’t see Override, anywhere go to Tools/Personalizaton for this screen layout and see if it is hidden.
Once you click override on the UOMCode Line you can update the Factor.
