"Hiding" fields in "listbox" customization on Job Tracker not wo

Can you format the text color the same as the background?  I have not gotten in to Customizations yet but if the text can be changed that might be sufficient.

It’s really strange.  Not ALL of the hidden fields come back, only some of them, specifically Act. Labor Cost and Act. Burden Cost (which are two that I NEED to hide).  Other fields that I hide stay hidden.

If a Personalization exists, I've found you sometimes have to delete the Personalization before all of the changes made in the Customization show.

I’ve created a customization that “hides” several fields under the “operations list” in Job Tracker, specifically the ones that deal with labor rates.   I save the customization and enable it and go to use it and before I select a job to view, the fields that I hid in the list are indeed not there.  However, as soon as I pull up a job to view, they reappear.  Is this a bug?????

Not sure why they reappear. But suggest you protect the fields with Field Security. You can then assign security groups (or users) to write-access, read-access or no-access for each field and it would apply to all screens.

No, not a bug but "Working as Designed" there is a lot of logic behind some of the onscreen fields so even if you hide them they'll come back sometimes. There are a few work arounds

a) Position them at -100,-100 (out of sight out of mind)
orÂ
b) Remove the Epicor Binding to the Field, then Hide the Actual Field.

By a list box, do you mean an ultracombobox? Or do you mean a sheet named
list.

If it’s the ultracombobox, you can just take it outside the screen (-100
-100 position in the parameters sheet).

If it’s a list sheet, then you go on the properties of the sheet an at
enabled propertie, you put false.

It’s a list “sheet” but if I put “False” in the properties, all that does is freeze the control and I need for them to be able to “scroll” the list pane left and right to see the other fields. I just want to hide two or three of the fields in the list sheet pane and it DOES work if there isn’t a job pulled up but as soon as I pull a job up, the hidden fields come back. Strangely enough, I did the SAME thing in the “Labor Transaction” list pane and it worked perfectly (meaning the hidden fields STAYED hidden).. Any ideas???

By a list box, do you mean an ultracombobox? Or do you mean a sheet named
list.

If it’s the ultracombobox, you can just take it outside the screen (-100
-100 position in the parameters sheet).

If it’s a list sheet, then you go on the properties of the sheet an at
enabled propertie, you put false.

Jose, how can this be done on a “list” field????? That’s the only place
I’m having an issue..The only options I have are to “hide” it and “read
only”….

No, not a bug but "Working as Designed" there is a lot of logic behind some
of the onscreen fields so even if you hide them they'll come back
sometimes. There are a few work arounds

a) Position them at -100,-100 (out of sight out of mind)

or

b) Remove the Epicor Binding to the Field, then Hide the Actual Field.

I’m not used to do this. What I would probably do, even more if I see that
Epicor program seems to overlap my customisation, I would probably freeze
the sheet completely, like by putting false in the enable properties. Then
I would create my own dashboard I would put in a custom sheet that would
show only the information my employee needs.

If a Personalization exists, I've found you sometimes have to delete the Personalization before all of the changes made in the Customization show.

It’s really strange. Not ALL of the hidden fields come back, only some of them, specifically Act. Labor Cost and Act. Burden Cost (which are two that I NEED to hide). Other fields that I hide stay hidden.Â
