Hiding cost for the general user

We were going the "customize and hide" route, but this seemed so easy... Except when I got to the job tracker. Where is it still finding the costs on the Job Detail > Assemblies > Costs tab? It looks like calculated fields, and I have no clue how to stop them from calculating... (Stupid costs are printed EVERYWHERE...)
Any assistance would be appreciated!

Is there a recommended way to hide cost (product/labor) information from all but members of a 'view cost' security group. I want to avoid modifing individual screens and reports with customizations, if possible.

Jeff,
Find the table that the costs you want to secure are stored in and use the
standard field level security to grant access to only your selected group.
