Epicor did this for us, for a fee of course. It was all through their
own custom team. They actually take 6.1 to 8.0 Progress, then 8.0
Progress to 8.0 SQL. Our Progress 6.1 database was about 6 gigs. When we
went to 8.0 SQL it went to 29 gigs! We had them do it once for our test
environment then 2 months later we went live.

Subject: [Vantage] Has anyone moved their 6.1 Progress database to a sql
database?
I picked this weekend to setup my test environment for 8.03 and have
been havingthe hardest time finding any directions on how to move my
6.1 database to SQL from progress sothat I can do the upgrade from 6.1
to 8.0. does anyone have expierence doing this? The instructions I
recieved from epicor only cover moving a 6.1 sql database to 8.0.
Thanks
