How do others handle Make to Order orders when they are ready to be picked and shipped?
We have scenarios where we have customers ship us their product for us to perform a service, refill oils, etc. These are make to order line items at the sales order level. When the item is ready to be shipped, the user who lets the shipping department know what needs to be shipped uses the fulfillment workbench, allocates the order and prints the material queue report so they can pick/ship the correct products. At fulfillment workbench by order, the user is getting a process error after trying to allocate by part that indicates the order release is a make to order which prevents the order from being submitted to the material request queue for shipping to know what they need to ship.
Any input on this would greatly be appreciated!
