The global scheduling process seems to be hanging. The last item in the log file is “Waiting for next job…”
What can cause this? What should I do when this happens?
I have had GS hang up in the past, however it was always when processing a job. I have had to ask support to clear the task, so I could try again. I try to do global scheduling when the shop is the slowest around 3-4am. I think this helps with server load, but I am not certain. I haven’t had any hangs recently. Support can clear the task for you, but figuring out the root cause could be tricky.
