Global Scheduling - Cancelled?

Good afternoon,
I am testing out Global Scheduling in our Pilot database. Normally when I click Global Scheduling, it runs for about 30 minutes. Now it runs for less than a second, and in System Monitor it says the status is CANCELLED. It never gets beyond the activity “Building Job List”. I thought I accidentally cancelled it the first time, and I ran it again to get the same results.

I generated shop capacity, and calculated the global scheduling order before I ran global scheduling.

Have you ever seen this before? Why can’t I run global scheduling?
Thanks!
Nate

I am not sure what exactly fixed it, but I ran three conversion processes, and now my global scheduling is running ok.
I ran #640 - To create/fix the ShopCal.Capacity totals.
#650 - This program rebuilds ShopLoad records.
and
#710 - Create/Rebuild ShopLoad information.

If anyone know what happened here please let me know!

This keeps happening on rare occasions. So far, every time the Global Scheduling cancels itself, running these three processes seems to fix it. Still curious if anyone else experiences this or knows why it is happening.
Thanks!

Hi Nate, I;m running exactly the same issue, but I just did your recommendation but doesn’t work.

I seem to recall This recurring enough to submit a support ticket. I gave them login credentials and they did something that fixed it for me. I haven’t had this issue come up since.

Hi Nate, do you have any idea or any information in the support ticket? I already create one, but the guys are totally lost about the issue, maybe if they can see the ticket reference could help, thanks a lot.

Regards
Raul D.

I am not sure if they can reference cases across customers, but my closed case number is: CS0003319384
This is where they logged in and did something to fix it for me without telling me what they did.

It will help a lot, I really appreciate it Nate

Raul D.

Hi,
normally you have to run the “generate shop load capacity process”, each time you modify the resources group. I suggest to choose =>Schedule now, number of day (depend of your projection)and delete chop capacity. It will rebuild it.

We ran into this issue yesterday. I opened up a ticket with Epicor and they resolved the issue in a similar fashion:

System Upgrade/Mass Regeneration / Conversion Workbench / User run conversions (tree):

590
640
650
710

These four conversions fixed it for us; hope that helps somebody else.
