Global Alert Stopped sending email

We have some Global alerts set up and they have been working fine and now the and alert that stopped. Other alerts are working.

I looked in the Global Alert Message Error Log and there are no errors.

I know in E9 when alerts failed I would have a message on the bottom bar and I could resend them.

How can I see what is happening to the alerts?

I just ran a query against the AlertQue and i have a ton of stuff sitting in the Que. How do we get them send if stuck in Alert Que?

Have you tried going to the Global Alert Message Error Log?

Yes and it is empty. It like it is stuck trying to send.

Can other systems (besides Global Alert) send an email?

Any chance the email account that E10 uses for sending has been disabled? Happens when accounts setup fjust for that process aren’t excluded form Password expiry .

Yes my other BPMs are working

I haven’t used Global Alerts since the V8 days, so I’m not super familiar… Just throwing out some ideas to check

All Global Alert emails have stopped? Or just specific ones?

Looks like all out of box Global Alerts have stopped.

I know in E9 I could see them in the error log and then re-send them if they failed.

These have not failed just hanging out there.

Not sure if the Task Agent processes global alerts somehow, but might be worth a restart of that service

The Epicor help indicates a data directive is supposed to monitor the AlertQue table. Maybe check if that’s enabled and test that it’s firing when records get added.

The Data Directive is enabled.

I rebooted the servers last night and it fixed the issue. More concerning is there was no notification they stopped working and never went to error log. They sat in the Alert Queue table but unless you look in SQL or BAQ you would never know that. I would think Epicor would want to make a front end for when items get stuck in the Alert Queue.
